About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Desk in Apple Grove, WV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a leading technology location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service while managing access points. Your role will involve conducting routine patrols, remaining visible, and communicating clearly with visitors and staff. This is a driving post. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including access control activities.
  • Monitor and control entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access within the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter security-related risks and identify any unusual activity.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and/or suspicious activities according to site guidelines.
  • Support emergency response efforts as needed, assisting with evacuations or other procedures as directed by Allied Universal or site management.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned location to help to deter potential security-related issues.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or contractors regarding security-related matters.
