Security Officer - Driver
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Driver Site Rounds in La Porte, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements, supporting mobile patrol and rapid response as needed. You will deliver customer service, clear communication, and detailed reporting with a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that acts with integrity.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site leadership and/or emergency services per post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, process areas, parking areas, and perimeter fencing, documenting findings and reporting irregular conditions.
- Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by checking identification, controlling visitor access, and maintaining security-related logs as required.
- Complete required security-related reports and communicate with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts regarding incidents, patrol activity, and unusual observations.
