About The Position

As a Security Officer Driver in Memphis, TN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location as an Access Control Officer. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor and vehicle access, and conduct routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. Bring strong customer service and clear communication as you support a reliable, people-first team that acts with integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in line with AU Driver Policy Requirements.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, drivers, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Operate access control posts such as guard shacks, gates, and/or entrances by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining entry and exit logs, and coordinating with site contacts for approvals.
  • Control vehicle and trailer access by checking paperwork, directing inbound and outbound traffic flow, monitoring dock and yard activity as assigned, and reporting irregular activity to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events, notifying appropriate contacts, and assisting with incident scene control until relieved.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including parking lots, perimeters, and dock areas, to help to deter unauthorized access and/or policy violations.
