Job Description As a Security Officer - Driver Route Patrol in Houston, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license and compliance with AU Driver Policy requirements. You will greet tenants and visitors, respond to concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and integrity-driven team culture.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card and/or security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access guidelines, and emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting details and notifying site contacts and/or dispatch as required.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of common areas, parking areas, loading docks, and building perimeters to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.
• Monitor entrances, gates, and other access points, verifying credentials and directing visitors to appropriate locations per site policy.
• Complete daily activity reports and incident reports, noting security-related observations, maintenance concerns, and/or hazards for follow-up.
