About The Position

As a Security Officer - Driver Patrol Route in Viera, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support tenants and visitors with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or security license is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial property location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, common areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance and operational concerns.
  • Monitor access points and conduct security-related screening and/or badge verification as required by post orders; assist with visitor direction and property rule communication.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, suspicious activity, and requests for assistance; notify management and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other documentation in a timely manner; communicate key observations to Allied Universal leadership and/or onsite contacts during shift transitions.
