About The Position

As a Security Officer - Driver Perimeter Rounds in Miami, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal on an unarmed, driving patrol post supporting a government location. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist staff and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations, report concerns promptly, and support a culture that is agile, reliable, innovative, people first, team driven, and grounded in integrity.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 or more years of security experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Baton certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing assistance, contacting appropriate resources, and/or coordinating with onsite personnel as needed.
  • Control access points by verifying identification and/or authorization, monitoring visitor flow, and directing individuals to appropriate locations in accordance with site procedures.
  • Complete routine documentation such as shift logs, incident reports, and patrol activity reports, and communicate noteworthy conditions to Allied Universal supervision and/or site representatives.
