Job Description As a Security Officer - Perimeter Rounds Associate in Santa Monica, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control at key entry points, assist with visitor and badge flow, and provide professional customer service and communication to tenants, guests, and property teams. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, guests, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access issues, disturbances, and service calls while maintaining accurate communication with site contacts.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of lobbies, corridors, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor and report security-related concerns such as damaged doors or gates, unsecured areas, lighting outages, and unusual activity, and document observations according to post orders.
- Complete required reports, including patrol logs and incident reports, and coordinate with Allied Universal leadership and/or site representatives regarding follow-up actions.
