About The Position

As a Security Officer - Driver Patrol Specialist in Tuscaloosa, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine mobile patrols and driving rounds, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with courteous customer service. You will document activity, communicate clearly, and respond to concerns with professionalism. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures and Allied Universal post orders in a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disputes, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and request medical staff and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, observe for unusual conditions such as unsecured doors, suspicious behavior, and/or hazards, and report findings per site policy.
  • Complete security-related reports, incident documentation, and shift logs, and communicate updates to site leadership and/or the Allied Universal supervisor.
