Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government transportation location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with riders and staff while reporting concerns. This is a driving post, so you will use a company vehicle to cover designated areas and respond to calls for assistance with professionalism, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to a government transit location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting passenger assistance and service disruption response as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of platforms, terminals, public areas, offices, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance, access, and lighting concerns.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, observe for policy violations, and/or assist with crowd and queue management during peak service times and special events.
  • Document observations and incidents in daily activity reports and incident reports, communicate updates to site contacts and/or dispatch, and support law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when requested.
