About The Position

Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a tech and media location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible, and help identify and report security-related concerns. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in line with Allied Universal driver policy requirements, with patrols completed on foot and by vehicle. You will support access points, communicate clearly, and deliver customer-focused service while working with a team that values integrity, agility, and innovation.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology and media location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or other security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor traffic, verify identification and/or credentials as required, and assist with directing visitors to appropriate destinations.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and unusual activity in written reports, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
