As an unarmed patrol officer in an aero and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will verify credentials and access, respond to alarms and/or calls for assistance, document observations, and communicate clearly with employees and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response procedures at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production areas, parking lots, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials, badges, and/or visitor logs in accordance with site requirements, escalating concerns through the chain of command.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting additional assistance as needed.
  • Complete required reports and documentation, communicate observations to appropriate contacts, and help support security-related investigations when directed.
