About The Position

As a Security Officer Driver Field Patrol in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or urgent situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while communicating with staff, visitors, and emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity in accordance with site procedures, including observing visitor, staff, and vendor movement.
• Document incidents, observations, and/or daily activities, and report concerns involving patients, staff, visitors, and property to appropriate personnel.
