As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an aero and defense location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control operations, document and report activity, and communicate professionally with staff and visitors while delivering customer service. Requirements

• Have 2+ years of security experience.
• Have an active DoD Secret clearance.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the chain of command and/or to emergency services as required by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity that may help to deter unauthorized access.
• Support access control operations by checking identification and/or credentials, managing visitor sign-in and badge processes, and directing authorized individuals to approved areas.
• Complete detailed security-related reports, including patrol logs and incident documentation, and communicate updates to site representatives and Allied Universal supervision.
