About The Position
As a Security Officer - DoD Clearance Required Facility Patrol in SAN DIEGO, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal supporting an aerospace and defense location as an unarmed patrol officer, where you will monitor access points, conduct routine foot patrols, and report security-related observations. You will stay highly visible to help to deter incidents, assist employees and visitors with clear communication, and document activities using site procedures. Requirements
- Maintain an active DoD Secret clearance.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and verify identification, visitor authorization, and delivery documentation in accordance with site requirements.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, suspicious activity, and medical events, and notify site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
- Complete detailed patrol and incident reports, maintain activity logs, and communicate noteworthy information to site representatives and Allied Universal management.
