Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Dispatch Desk Monitor in Marietta, GA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal in an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and provide prompt communication and support to team members and visitors. This is an armed and driving post, where your presence and professionalism contribute to a secure environment while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first.

Requirements

Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Possess an armed guard card or license as required.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
CPR and first aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Operate as a central communication point, receiving and dispatching information to appropriate personnel within the location.
Monitor security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and access control within an aerospace and defense environment.
Coordinate response to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site-specific procedures.
Maintain detailed records of all activities, incidents, and communications for documentation and follow-up.
Assist with access control by verifying credentials and managing visitor logs as required by site policies.
Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with security-related inquiries and procedures.
Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and client contacts to help to deter unauthorized activities and support a secure environment.
Remain up to date on site-specific policies, emergency protocols, and any changes in procedures relevant to the dispatch function.
