As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor access points, screen employees, visitors, and deliveries, and complete routine patrols of assigned areas. You will stay highly visible, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with site teams to help reduce incidents. Requirements

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and vendors at entry points by verifying identification, confirming authorization, and issuing visitor credentials and/or directing individuals to the appropriate check-in process.
  • Conduct security-related screening of bags, packages, and deliveries as required, including observing for prohibited items and reporting concerns through the established chain of command.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and notifying site leadership and/or local authorities when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, staging areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
