As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage access control, verify credentials, issue badges, and monitor alarms and activity to support security-related operations. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce incidents, and provide professional customer service and clear communication with drivers, visitors, and staff. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license in the job state.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, employees, vendors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access at gatehouse and/or entry points by checking identification, validating appointments and shipping documentation, issuing temporary badges, and maintaining visitor and vehicle logs.
• Monitor inbound and outbound truck traffic by coordinating with shipping and receiving, verifying trailer and seal information when required, and reporting irregularities according to post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or local authorities as directed and completing required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, parking areas, yard lines, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
