As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service. Your presence and attention to detail will support a secure environment, while your communication skills will help create a positive experience for everyone on site. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Lifting up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct screening procedures for personnel, visitors, and/or vehicles entering the logistics and distribution location to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Follow site-specific policies and procedures related to screening and access control.
  • Provide customer service by assisting individuals with questions and guiding them through the screening process as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Maintain detailed records of screening activities and report any irregularities or concerns to Allied Universal management and/or site supervisors.
  • Remain alert and attentive at the screening post, observing for unusual activity or prohibited items.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as directed by site management and Allied Universal protocols.
