Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol in Arlington, WA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. Your presence helps to deter security-related incidents, and you will provide exceptional customer service while communicating with staff and visitors. By conducting regular patrols and maintaining a visible presence, you play a crucial role in supporting a secure environment, embodying our values of teamwork, agility, and integrity.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Experience with X ray screening is preferred.
- Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor access points and observe activities to support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets.
- Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or unusual occurrences according to established protocols.
- Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and team members to address questions and/or concerns.
- Support Allied Universal and client leadership in maintaining a secure and welcoming atmosphere at the location.
