About The Position

As a Security Officer - Distribution Center Monitor in Whitestown, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entrances, check credentials, and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location, verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
Provide customer service by assisting visitors, drivers, and employees with access-related inquiries and directions in accordance with site-specific policies.
Carry out security-related procedures and respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify any unusual activity.
Document and report any observed irregularities, such as property damage, theft, or presence of unauthorized persons, following Allied Universal protocols.
Assist with emergency response activities as required, including coordinating with local authorities and Allied Universal management.
Maintain accurate logs and records of access control activities, incidents, and patrols as required by site procedures.
Communicate professionally with logistics and distribution personnel and visitors to support a secure environment.
