About The Position

As a Security Officer - Distribution Center in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Assist with access control by verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized individuals at the location.
Provide customer service by answering questions and assisting visitors with site-specific procedures.
Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies, including those related to technology and media environments.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns and/or emergencies.
Document and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents according to company and client guidelines.
