Job Description As a Security Officer - Distribution Access Screener in Indianapolis, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a SCREENER in a logistics and distribution setting, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, and remaining visible throughout the location. You will also provide exceptional customer service and clear communication to all visitors and personnel. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by implementing security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the logistics and distribution location, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Assist with screening individuals, packages, and/or vehicles entering and exiting the premises to help to deter unauthorized access and prohibited items.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter security-related risks and identify any unusual activity.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities according to company and client protocols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members while upholding Allied Universal standards at all times.
