Security Officer Dispatch
About The Position
As a Security Officer Dispatch in Seattle, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Dispatch Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor cameras and communications, coordinate responses to security-related incidents, and support on-site teams with timely information. This role combines customer service, communication, and technology in a fast-paced environment where Allied Universal values agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to help create a welcoming atmosphere.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor communications systems, receive calls for service, and dispatch appropriate personnel to incidents, maintenance issues, and/or urgent situations across the location.
- Maintain detailed activity logs, incident reports, and radio communications records to support timely response and follow-up on security-related and customer service concerns.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while coordinating with on-site personnel, mall management, and/or emergency responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrol support through dispatcher oversight of assigned areas, including common areas, entrances, loading zones, and perimeter locations, while helping to deter unauthorized activity.
