Job Description As a Security Officer - Dispatch Operator in Newtown Square, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Dispatch Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will coordinate security-related communications, monitor activity through systems and reports, and route officers to calls for service. You will help maintain access control, track badges and/or visitors, document incidents, and support patients, staff, and guests with professional customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures, access control guidelines, and other security-related protocols within a healthcare location.
  • Operate the dispatch desk by monitoring alarms, cameras, radios, and/or telephone lines; receive and prioritize calls for service; and coordinate responses with on-site personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting actions taken, and assisting with emergency response activities as directed.
  • Complete security-related reports and logs, including incident documentation, shift activity summaries, and tracking of keys, badges, and/or other controlled items in accordance with site policy.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter when assigned, noting unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns and reporting them through the appropriate channels.
