About The Position

As a Security Officer - Dispatch Operator in KANSAS CITY, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Dispatch Officer at a financial institution location, you will coordinate security-related responses, monitor activity, communicate clearly with teams, and help maintain a visible presence through routine rounds. You will support associates and visitors with professional customer service, accurate reporting, and timely updates across shifts. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
  • Operate the dispatch post by monitoring alarms, CCTV, and access control systems, prioritizing incoming calls for service, and coordinating field staff response.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, gathering key details and communicating updates to appropriate contacts.
  • Complete timely incident reports, shift logs, and dispatch records, including documenting alarms, calls for service, and follow-up actions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the building, common areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or operational concerns.
