About The Position

As a Security Officer - Dispatch Center Operator in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Dispatch Officer at a financial institution location, you will support day to day security-related operations by monitoring alarms, cameras, and access activity, coordinating officer responses, and documenting incidents with clear, professional communication. You will stay engaged with teammates and site contacts to help reduce disruptions and support a welcoming environment. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at a financial institution location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor alarm and video surveillance systems and coordinate dispatch of on-site personnel and/or emergency services as needed, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Receive and triage calls, radio traffic, and service requests, prioritizing incidents and critical situations and responding in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Complete accurate incident reports, dispatch logs, and shift activity records, escalating concerns through the established chain of command.
  • Support building access and visitor management processes by verifying authorized entry requests, issuing credentials when directed by site policy, and communicating directions to arriving personnel.
