About The Position

As a Security Officer - Dispatch Desk in Leawood, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor activity through cameras and systems, coordinate responses to security-related incidents, and support on-site officers with clear radio and phone communication. You will complete reports, help manage access and visitor needs, and deliver a welcoming customer service experience. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors at a commercial real estate location by following site-specific, security-related procedures, access control practices, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Operate the dispatch post by receiving calls for service, prioritizing requests, and coordinating the response of on-site personnel while maintaining clear radio and phone communications.
  • Monitor alarms, CCTV, and other building management or security-related systems, and initiate notifications and response actions per post orders when abnormal activity is observed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, gathering key details, relaying information to responding personnel, and completing required reports.
  • Maintain accurate activity logs and documentation, including incident records, shift passdowns, and visitor or contractor entries, per Allied Universal and site requirements.
