About The Position

As a Airport Security Officer - Dispatcher in Kahului, HI, you will serve and safeguard the airport, it's facilities, travelers, and ensure the safety and security of airport operations. you’ll be the communication hub of our aviation security operations. You’ll coordinate real-time responses, monitor systems, and dispatch officers to where they’re needed most. NOTE: First two months in this position will be working various posts for best geography and familiarization on airport property

Requirements

Valid Driver's License
Minimum of 1 year of experience in call taking, dispatching, and CCTV monitoring
Security Experience: 1+ years
21+ years of age
Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)
Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government aviation location.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminals, curbside areas, parking areas, restricted perimeters, and other assigned zones; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
Monitor access points and assist with visitor, vendor, and employee entry processes by checking identification, badges, and/or authorized access lists in accordance with post orders.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, medical calls, and/or hazardous conditions, and notify appropriate personnel as required.
Complete timely reports and logs, document unusual activity, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership, site contacts, and/or public agencies when needed.
