About The Position

As a Airport Security Officer - Dispatcher in Kahului, HI, you will serve and safeguard the airport, it's facilities, travelers, and ensure the safety and security of airport operations. you’ll be the communication hub of our aviation security operations. You’ll coordinate real-time responses, monitor systems, and dispatch officers to where they’re needed most. Position Type: Part Time - Morning Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $3.93. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee. Job Schedule: DayTimeSat05:30 AM - 02:00 PM

Requirements

Valid Driver's License
Minimum of 1 year of experience in call taking, dispatching, and CCTV monitoring
Security Experience: 1+ years
21+ years of age
Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)
Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government aviation location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, suspicious activity, and facility alarms, and escalate to appropriate public agency contacts as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, administrative areas, parking areas, curbside zones, and perimeter areas, checking doors, gates, and restricted areas for unusual conditions that may help to deter unauthorized access.
Monitor access points and credential checks as assigned, help to direct foot and vehicle traffic, and provide clear information to the public while maintaining a professional presence.
Complete required shift documentation such as incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity reports, and communicate observed issues to site leadership and/or responding authorities.
