As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will make rounds throughout the property, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist customers and staff with clear, professional communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under Allied Universal driver policy requirements, so you may patrol between areas as needed. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to store associates, tenants, and shoppers by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail sales floors, common areas, stockrooms, and exterior perimeter areas such as parking lots and cart corrals; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and potential shoplifting indicators, helping to deter theft and/or disorder through high-visibility presence and professional communication.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical situations, fire and/or alarm activations, and lost child or missing person reports, escalating to law enforcement and/or management as needed.
- Complete timely documentation such as incident reports and daily activity logs, and communicate pertinent information to store leadership and Allied Universal supervision during shift changes.
