As an unarmed, driving Patrol Officer at a leading tech data center location, you will conduct routine patrols and perimeter checks, complete detailed reports, and respond to security-related concerns with calm, professional customer service. You will remain highly visible to help to deter incidents while supporting a fast-paced, technology-focused environment. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a high-tech data center location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, equipment areas, loading and delivery points and the perimeter, noting unusual conditions and/or potential hazards.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras and/or access control systems; respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and notify appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Control access by verifying identification and/or authorization for employees, contractors and visitors; direct guests to designated areas in accordance with site requirements.
  • Complete detailed shift reports, incident documentation and activity logs; communicate observations and/or status updates to site leadership and oncoming personnel.
