About The Position

As a Security Officer Dealership Patrol Driver in Mount Vernon, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy automotive manufacturing location, you will conduct routine patrols, support access control, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post, so you will use a company-approved vehicle as you respond to calls, complete reports, and assist employees and visitors with customer-focused communication. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an automotive manufacturing and/or distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking lots, and perimeter points, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and help control entry for authorized personnel and deliveries by verifying identification, directing traffic flow, and documenting visitor and vendor activity per site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, medical situations, and/or disturbances, and promptly notify site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
• Complete detailed reports on patrol observations, incidents, and maintenance or hazard-related concerns, and communicate timely information during shift handoffs and/or through required reporting systems.
