About The Position

Join our team as a Security Officer - Curbside. In this essential role, you’ll help keep airport curbside areas safe and efficient by monitoring traffic flow, assisting customers, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures. Requirements

  • 18 years or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Pass level 2 – 10 year airport security background screening
  • Pass 10-panel drug and alcohol testing
  • Able to stand and walk for 8 hours
  • Able to work in the elements of Florida
  • Able to handle conflict in a professional and courteous manner

Responsibilities

  • Work from regulations, written and verbal instructions.
  • Walk the designated area at the terminal curbside.
  • Direct the traffic to keep moving and not park or block ingress and egress of the drop off/pickup area.
  • Report to Supervisor regarding drivers who refuse to move their vehicles
  • Request a Control Center to make announcement regarding the color, make and model in to identify the driver and get the vehicle moved.
  • Monitor ground transportation area and ensure vehicles are attended by drivers or transportation employee
  • Patrol the area for unattended bags.
  • Assist customers to cross the street or get a wheelchair when needed.
  • Give directions to drivers on how the exit airport or other such information.
  • Perform or assist with any operations, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements.
  • Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies.
  • Maintain safe work area and comply with safety procedures and equipment operating rules keeping work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
