About The Position

As a Airport Security Officer - Traffic Control Officer in Kahului, HI, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of all passengers, staff, and airport facilities. Requirements

Valid Driver's License
21+ years of age
Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)
Be 21+ years of age.
Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors by following post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response procedures in a government aviation location.
Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, parking areas, roadways, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and credential requirements, assist with visitor direction, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations through established channels.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, suspicious items, and/or alarms, and coordinate with appropriate site contacts and public agencies as directed.
Complete detailed activity reports and incident documentation, and use radios, phones, and/or CCTV systems to communicate observations and support site operations.
