Job Description As a Security Officer - Cultural Patrol Officer in Philadelphia, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a renowned cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol galleries, entrances, and public spaces to help support a welcoming environment for guests and staff. You will complete routine rounds, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and communicate clearly with your team. Requirements

Customer Service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to guests, staff, and vendors by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout gallery spaces, public areas, back-of-house corridors, loading areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify irregular conditions.
Monitor entrances and designated access points, verifying visitor flow, staff credentials, and delivery protocols in accordance with location procedures.
Observe and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and potential hazards, escalating concerns to location leadership and/or emergency services as required.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing clear directions to visitors and coordinating with on-site personnel.
Assist with crowd management during peak attendance, special events, and exhibit openings, helping to maintain orderly lines and appropriate conduct.
Operate and/or monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, intrusion alarms, fire panels, and radio communications in accordance with post orders.
Complete accurate documentation including shift activity logs, incident reports, and daily patrol reports, using clear and timely written communication.
Support protection of artwork and exhibit areas by enforcing posted rules, addressing prohibited items and behaviors, and reporting potential damage or tampering.
Interact professionally with a diverse public, providing directions, answering general questions, and referring visitors to appropriate location resources while maintaining assigned post responsibilities.
