As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will greet team members and drivers, verify credentials, and support access control at key entry points. You will conduct routine patrols, watch for unusual activity, document incidents, and communicate clearly with site leadership to help maintain smooth operations. Requirements

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by following site-specific security-related procedures and access control requirements at a logistics distribution location.
  • Screen and verify identification, credentials, and delivery documentation for visitors and/or contractors, and help route authorized personnel to the appropriate check-in points.
  • Operate screening and entry point processes such as bag checks and controlled access, documenting exceptions and escalating concerns per post orders to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
  • Complete required reports and logs such as visitor entries, incident reports, and shift activity notes, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal leadership and/or site management.
