About The Position

As a Security Officer - Credential Verification in Benicia, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Requirements

  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site employees, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Control access at gates, guard shacks, and/or building entry points by checking identification, issuing and collecting visitor credentials, managing sign-in and sign-out logs, and directing authorized personnel to the correct areas.
  • Screen and/or document deliveries and vehicle traffic by verifying shipping paperwork, confirming authorization, coordinating with site contacts for entry approval, and recording inbound and outbound movements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or emergency services as directed, and completing detailed incident reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, processing areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify unusual conditions, and report maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
