As an Access Control Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will greet visitors, verify credentials, manage badges, and monitor entry points while documenting security-related activity and escalating concerns. You will help to deter unauthorized access through a visible, customer-focused presence and clear communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, employees, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Control entry and exit at designated access points by verifying identification, issuing temporary visitor credentials, maintaining visitor and delivery logs, and directing guests to approved destinations.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and building systems as assigned, reporting irregular activity and/or maintenance concerns per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications to property management and/or local responders as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including checks of doors, gates, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
