Security Officer - Credential Verification
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Credential Verification in Lathrop, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy retail and mall location where you will focus on access control, greeting associates and visitors, checking credentials, and managing entry and exit points. You will complete routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with store teams and guests. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail location.
- Control entry and exit points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing deliveries, and maintaining visitor and contractor logs in accordance with site requirements.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with on-site staff and public responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail sales floor, back-of-house areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Complete timely documentation such as incident reports, access logs, and shift activity notes, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
