As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor and truck check-ins, and conduct routine patrols to help reduce security-related incidents. You will stay visible, communicate clearly with associates and drivers, and document activity with attention to detail. Requirements

• Applicants must have 1+ years of security experience.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, drivers, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying identification, and issuing visitor credentials and/or badges as directed.
• Monitor inbound and outbound traffic at gates and dock areas, control entry to restricted zones, and help to deter unauthorized access by maintaining accurate logs and communicating with site contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disputes at entry points, and medical emergencies, and notify management and/or emergency responders per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouse areas, yards, and perimeter fencing to help to deter theft, damage, and other security-related concerns, and report irregular conditions.
• Operate and observe security-related systems such as CCTV, access control panels, and radio communications, and complete written and/or electronic reports for shift activity and incident documentation.
