Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As a Screener with Allied Universal, you will welcome staff and visitors while conducting entry screening at a secure facility, helping to support orderly operations. You will check identification and authorization, monitor access points, observe activity for unusual behavior, and document and communicate concerns to site leadership. You will bring a calm, customer-focused approach while working as part of an agile, reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site staff and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Screen employees, contractors, and visitors prior to entry, including checking identification, verifying authorization, and directing individuals through established entry procedures.
  • Operate and monitor screening equipment such as magnetometers, x-ray systems, and/or handheld detection devices; inspect bags and property for prohibited items in accordance with post orders.
  • Control access through designated entry points, help to deter unauthorized entry, and document entries, denials, and/or unusual activity in required logs and reports.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision as needed.
