About The Position

As a Security Officer - Corporate Patrol in La Jolla, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout an educational campus environment. You will interact with students, staff, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while supporting a welcoming atmosphere. This is a driving post, where you will contribute to a caring culture, act with integrity, and deliver reliable service as part of a dedicated team.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including both the interior and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
Document and report security-related incidents, unusual occurrences, and maintenance issues according to established procedures.
Assist visitors, staff, and students with directions, access, and information as needed while maintaining a visible Allied Universal presence.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when required by site protocols.
Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any potential hazards or suspicious activities to the appropriate contacts.
