About The Position

As a Front Desk Officer in a commercial real estate location, you will be the welcoming first point of contact, helping manage lobby access, greet visitors, issue badges, and maintain logs using a computer and/or tablet. You will monitor cameras, respond to alarms and service requests, and communicate clearly with tenants and management. Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, employees, visitors, and contractors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and reception protocols at the front desk.
  • Monitor and help to control access to the property by verifying identification, managing visitor check-in and/or check-out, and issuing visitor passes in accordance with location requirements.
  • Answer and route calls, greet and direct guests, and coordinate communications with property management and/or building engineers regarding service requests and security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities and contacting local responders when appropriate.
  • Observe lobby activity and camera views as assigned, document unusual activity, and complete daily logs, incident reports, and shift handoff information per site procedures.
