Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A current tuberculosis test and MMR vaccinations are required in accordance with COLA DPSS/DHS requirements.
  • A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, screening and controlling entry and exit points, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, processing visitors, maintaining visitor logs, and reporting unauthorized or unusual activity to site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following post orders and government location protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help identify security-related concerns, access issues, and policy violations.
  • Document daily activities, incidents, and access control events accurately and communicate relevant information to supervisors, staff, and/or first responders as appropriate.
