About The Position

As a Security Officer Controlled Access Driver in Baytown, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control professional at a chemical and petrochemical location, helping monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support a professional, welcoming environment. In this driving post, you will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and provide strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an industrial location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, screen visitors and deliveries, and document access activity in accordance with post instructions and security-related protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the perimeter and key access points, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Support security-related operations by maintaining accurate logs, reporting hazards and/or policy violations, and communicating clearly with Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.
