About The Position

As a Security Officer - Construction Site Patrol in Council Bluffs, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to alarms and/or unusual activity, document observations, and deliver strong customer service through clear communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response protocols as directed.
  • Control access at entrances and controlled areas by checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining visitor and delivery logs in accordance with location policies.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify site leadership and/or Allied Universal management as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Document security-related activities, incidents, and maintenance concerns through written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate relevant information during shift transitions.
