About The Position

As a Security Officer - Construction Site Patrol in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech location as an unarmed patrol officer, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas while staying visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will complete routine rounds, document activity, respond to concerns, and deliver strong customer service and communication to employees and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to onsite personnel and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, loading zones, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access control points and security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and/or visitor logs, and report concerns according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting details and notifying the appropriate contacts.
  • Complete timely reports such as shift activity logs, incident reports, and/or maintenance observations, and communicate updates during shift handoff.
