About The Position

As a Security Officer - Community Patrol in Buffalo, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will control access at key points, document observations, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors while delivering customer service. At Allied Universal, you will support an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations through established channels.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter lines; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Control access for employees, contractors, and drivers by monitoring entry and exit points, checking identification and/or credentials as required, and directing visitor traffic in accordance with site procedures.
  • Complete routine documentation such as shift activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs, and communicate key updates to site contacts and incoming officers.
