About The Position
As a Security Officer - Commercial RE Patrol Driver in Long Beach, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify site management and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of building common areas, lobbies, corridors, stairwells, elevators, loading areas, and the property perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Control access to the property by verifying identification, issuing visitor passes, and directing guests to appropriate destinations in accordance with site-specific policies.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or other building systems when assigned, and report irregular activity or maintenance concerns through approved channels.
- Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and/or shift documentation, and communicate noteworthy activity during shift transitions.
- Assist with after-hours and/or restricted-area procedures such as checking doors, gates, and access points for proper closure and reporting issues.
- Provide visible presence in parking areas and exterior walkways to help to deter unauthorized activity and support tenant concerns.
- Support move-in, move-out, and delivery activity by coordinating access for moving trucks and service providers in line with property rules.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance, and follow Allied Universal and location-specific post orders at all times.
