As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will complete routine patrols and be a highly visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post, so you will patrol across the property, document observations, and communicate clearly with site contacts and your team. Requirements

Have a minimum of 6+ months of security-related experience.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, fire alarms, and building system alerts when assigned.
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including common areas, corridors, stairwells, rooftops where permitted, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
Control access to the property by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying authorization when required, and directing visitors, tenants, and vendors to proper locations.
Observe, report, and help to address suspicious activity, policy violations, and hazards by notifying site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership and documenting actions taken.
Complete detailed shift activity reports and incident documentation, including patrol observations, tenant or visitor interactions, and follow-up actions.
Monitor cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems when assigned, and communicate issues to property management and/or appropriate responders.
Provide escorts for tenants, staff, and vendors when requested and when permitted by site policy.
Maintain a professional presence and provide clear directions and information to tenants and visitors, including support during building events and peak traffic periods.
Work in varying environments and conditions, including walking and standing for extended periods, and operate in compliance with site rules, local regulations, and Allied Universal post orders.
